Impact

The boutique sells online with its own product structure and delivery rules, takes payments in INR and runs the whole store — catalogue to customers — from a single admin panel.

Project overview

Aura Planters sells indoor plants and planters online. The store combines product browsing and checkout for customers with an administration panel the team uses to run catalogue, stock, orders and customers.

The challenge

Plants are sold in combinations — species, pot size, pot style — and stock moves quickly. Off-the-shelf store builders handled variants and delivery rules awkwardly, and the team wanted full control over how products were presented and fulfilled.

The approach

We modelled products and their variants first, so every combination has its own price and stock, then built checkout and delivery logic on top. The admin panel was designed around the team's daily tasks: adding stock, processing orders and answering customers.

The architecture

  • React single-page storefront built with Vite
  • Node.js and Express REST API
  • MongoDB with Mongoose for products, variants, orders and users
  • Redux Toolkit for cart, session and catalogue state
  • JWT-based authentication for customers and administrators
  • Razorpay for INR payments; Cloudinary for product image delivery

The product

Customers browse plants and planters, choose sizes and styles, add to cart and pay with Razorpay. Administrators manage products and variants, track stock, process orders and manage customer accounts from one dashboard.

Key features

  • Variant-aware product catalogue
  • Cart and Razorpay checkout in INR
  • Customer accounts and order history
  • Admin dashboard for orders, products and users
  • Stock tracking per variant
  • Optimised product images

UX decisions

  • Variant choices update price and availability instantly, so customers never reach checkout with an unavailable combination.
  • A clean, light storefront keeps attention on the plants.
  • Admin screens mirror the order of daily store tasks.
