Project overview
HireStream is a recruitment portal where recruiters post jobs and manage applicants, and candidates apply and follow their application status.
The challenge
Recruiters tracked applicants across inboxes and spreadsheets. CVs went missing, candidates were contacted twice or not at all, and nobody had a reliable view of where each role stood.
The approach
We designed a clear API first — jobs, applications and status transitions — and secured it by role before building the two front-end experiences on top.
The architecture
- Java Spring Boot REST API with Spring Data JPA
- MySQL database
- Spring Security with JWT-based authentication
- React single-page app
- PDF generation for application records
The product
Recruiters post and manage jobs and move applicants through stages. Candidates build a profile, apply and track status. Administrators oversee the platform.
